Anaheim, Santa Ana
and the County of Orange Launch the ReadyOC
Campaign
On July 25, 2006, Anaheim, Santa Ana and the
Orange County Sheriff's Department announced the
launch of the ReadyOC campaign – a countywide
initiative to raise awareness of the need to be
ready for any type of emergency.
Orange County’s police, fire and public safety
officers are some of the most prepared
professionals in the nation, with the latest
technologies and resources to respond to any
threat posed to Orange County. But, it takes
more. Residents and businesses must do their
part to be prepared, aware and involved.
Being ready for emergencies is as simple as
planning ahead. Just like having a working smoke
detector, having an emergency supply kit and a
communications plan will put the tools you may
need at your finger tips. Please visit our
website,

prepared!

Unveils Logo for County Wide Emergency
Preparedness Campaign
ReadyOC provides a call to action
without instilling a sense of fear. This is
important because the ReadyOC campaign is not
about escalating fears about disasters and
emergencies; nobody likes or wants to talk about
eventualities or what could happen. This
campaign is about action…about involvement…about
motivation. It is an uplifting, encouraging campaign that focuses on families, children
and neighborhoods and what we can all do to make
our communities safer and stronger.
The logo clearly shows that the ReadyOC campaign
is tailored to Orange County. With an image of
an orange in the campaign name, “ReadyOC”, the
campaign’s message is simple and clear: “Be
prepared. Be aware. Be involved.” The campaign
name, logo and slogan were enhanced to reflect
research findings and to provide an overarching
campaign for all of Orange County’s emergency
preparedness efforts.
